I have recurrent moments in my life where I’m acutely aware of my body – this heavy, fragile, breathing organism inexplicably entrusted to my care for some as-yet undetermined number of decades. Embodiment is sometimes excruciating, often exhilarating, and rarely easy. When I have these moments of reaching my limits with embodiment, almost always the very next moment is intense nostalgia, a premature grieving of the planet which I know I will dearly miss when I’m gone, and immeasurable gratitude for getting to be here now.

This song is written for 3 voices, and originally was overlayed with Beruit‘s song Scenic World, which arrives at one repeated word: Breathtaking.

This version contains a sampling of the eternally beloved Pachelbel’s Canon (but in C, not D).
