By Mark Growden
Hi Singers! This teaching page contains notes from the last time we did The Rain Song. It’s possible our arrangement may change this time. You should be able to learn all the correct pieces of the song here, but we may arrange things slightly differently this time so just stay tuned! – Kaitie and Sara, 2023
Our “Map” for this song is not identical to the teaching track. For performance, our map will be as follows:
Altos, Tenor, Soprano, Bass, in that order
Then ADD SIMPLE STOMP-CLAPPING (keep singing!)
Then SINGING OUT, KEEP CLAPPING (which is not in this recording)
Bass, Soprano, Tenor, Alto back in, in that order (which is not in this recording)
Then PERCUSSION BREAK (Body Rhythm! No singing but COUNT WITH ME 1… 2… 3… 4… 5 — )
ALL SING TOGETHER and STOMP-CLAPPING through the end
Your harmonies for the end are on the teaching tracks! Sink to the floor, in a position you can hold comfortably for a moment, on your last note.
Enjoy!
