We acknowledge the land where we now sing, where many Indigenous tribes lived  for centuries prior to having their land stolen.  In particular, the xučyun (Huichin), Chochenyo speaking Ohlone people, live in this region.

Grace Lutheran Church and much of the land in the East Bay occupies the ancestral lands of the Huchiun Tribe. Learn more about Indigenous groups of the East Bay and consider contributing Shummi land tax here

Lyrics:

Part One: Humbly we walk here, humbly we sing here, humbly we bless this ground.

Part 2: Humbly and with gratitude. Remembering the ancient ones who walk this ground.

Part 3: Humbly we walk this ground with the spirit of blessings in our hearts.
