Our guest co-leader this Thursday will be Mark Growden! Mark Growden is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, singer, music educator, visual artist, and the founder and artistic director of SF SingFest, The Chromatic Community Music Center, The Calling All Choir, and The San Francisco Jaw Harp Choir. He has been facilitating community sings in North America and abroad for over 25 years. Mark has devoted his life to making music for other people and to helping other people make music for themselves.

The Living Room Choir (Drop-In evenings through the summer) are led by Kaitie Ty Warren, a community builder and song leader who is known for her playful and inclusive style.

Open to all, no auditions, community-focused and socially engaged, join us to sing through several songs per night in a call-and-response learning style after a short warm up. No need to bring anything except your capacity for exploration and joy!

We believe:
– singing is an essential human birthright and a powerful source of energy and connection
– singing together is a potent tool for building community
– singing in harmony teaches us to celebrate diversity and to practice deep listening

Our suggested sliding scale is $30-20 per evening; simply talk to us if money is a barrier and we will work it out. No one is ever turned away for lack of funds. Know that, by paying within the full sliding scale, you are contributing to everyone being there.

Grace Lutheran Church: 15 Santa Fe Ave · El Cerrito, CA

How to find us: Enter through the main church doors on Santa Fe Avenue at the corner of Ward Avenue. We’re in the main sanctuary space.
